Well-developed transport infrastructure
The key transeuropean network TEN_T routes intersect in Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship. We are located at the Baltic-Adriatic pan-European Corridor which connects Scandinavia with the south of Europe (Gdansk- Torun- Warsaw- Katowice- Žilina- Brno-Bratislava-Vienna- Graz- Klagenfurt- Trieste-Venice-Bologna).
Our widespread transport infrastructure network runs across the region. A1 highway connects Scandinavia, Gdansk and Torun with the south of Europe. Country roads such as DK10 lead to Szczecin and Warsaw, through Bydgoszcz and Torun. DK15 goes from Poznań to Warmia and Mazury through Torun. DK5, which will get integrated into newly constructed S5 road, leads to Poznan and Wroclaw from Gdansk through Bydgoszcz.
Our regional airport is situated in Bydgoszcz with airlines companies such as Lufthansa, Ryanair and LOT operating there.

There are currently thirteen industrial areas in our region: Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technological Park, Grudziądz Industrial Park, Toruń Technology Park, Industrial Park in Solec Kujawski, Vistula Park Świecie, Vistula Park II, Włocławska Zone, Economic Development Industrial and Technological Park, Nadnotecki Industrial Park in Paterk, Płużnica Investment Park, Brzeska Economic Zone, Industrial and Technology Park in Golub Dobrzyń, Sępoleński Industrial Park, Industrial Zone in Koronowo.
Innovative support system for business
Our numerous thriving business incubators offer modern space offices and are designed to serve as venues for exchange and discussion among practitioners. They offer various forms of legal and administrative support
- In Torun, you will find the biggest Business Link Centre in Poland. It specializes in assisting start-ups.
- Exea Smart Space has been organizing various networking events and business related conferences;
- Nicolaus Copernicus University promotes a strong network of academic business incubators as well as its Technology Transfer Center which monitors co-operation of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun and Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz with the outside parties, mainly entrepreneurs;
- In Bydgoszcz, at University of Science and Technology, Regional Innovation Center encourages entrepreneurs to develop co-operation with the local scientific community and promotes its research findings implementation.

BPO (Business Processing Outsourcing) is the region’s most dynamically developing sector. It has been identified, in the recent strategy for regional development, as the most promising market with approximately 8 000 employees in Bydgoszcz and over a 1 000 in Torun.
